Itinerary

Day 1AKWAABA (WELCOME) - ARRIVAL

Arrive in Ghana. Meet and assist. Transfer to hotel. Welcome dinner and orientation by DA Chariot staff.

Day 2ACCRA CITY TOUR

After breakfast, drive through the administrative or political route in Accra City, the Independence Square and Black Star square, a typical Ghanaian market (Makola Market), Ohene Djan Sports Stadium, Parliament or State House, National Theatre, Accra International Conference Centre. Continue to Jamestown (lighthouse) and drive through typical Ga community (indigents of Accra) a fishing community. Visit the Kwame Nkrumah Mausoleum and continue to the Centre for National Culture.

Day 3PAGA CROCODILE POND

Arrive in Tamale. Continue to Bolgatanga in the Upper East Region of Ghana well known for its unique crafts markets. Visit our in-house straw basket weaving centers to learn some weaving techniques which translate into amazing colourful results. Continue to Paga still in the Upper East Region which is known for its sacred crocodile pond. Overnight in Tamale.

Day 4MOLE PARK – LARABANGA MOSQUE AND MYSTIC STONE

After breakfast, leave Tamale to the Mole National Park. Visit the Larabanga Mosque and Mystic Stone. Dating from the 17th century, Larabanga Mosque is the oldest mosque in Ghana. Discover one of Ghana’s most revered religious sites; historic mosque of the “Sudanese” architectural mosque type in the Larabanga village. The story of the Mystic Stone is that a stone was in the way of a road, and every time they moved it, it came back to its original position. It was taken progressively further away, and always came back, eventually the road had to be diverted to go around it. After lunch, enjoy the day at leisure or opt for walking or bird watching tours on your own.

Day 5MOLE NATIONAL PARK

Experience an early morning safari in the Mole Park to see buffalos, antelopes, warthogs, hyenas, red-flanked duikers, hartebeests and other species of mammals like the elephants. Enjoy a hearty breakfast

Day 6LEISURE - DEPARTURE

Return to Accra. Last minute shopping or day at leisure and departure.
